Dewayne Blackwell is my father (and still alive and kicking by the way). On the other hand Mr. Bobby Vinton went on to record a song by dad in the 70's called 'Dick and Jane' and I had the priveledge to meet him and he was a wonderful person. It's hard , but 'Mr.Blue' holds up nicely, even in remakes. Bobby Vee, Pat Boone, Dennis Yost & Classics IV and even Garth Brooks with a country swing version on the same album that he did Dads' 'Friends in Low Places'.
